Dr John How, a specialist OB, is a practising Obstetrician and Gynaecologist in Melbourne, Australia.
Having graduated from the University of Melbourne in 1985, he underwent training at various hospitals in Melbourne including the Royal Women’s Hospital and Mercy Hospital for Women. He then completed two years of further training at St John’s Hospital in Essex, UK.
Since 1998, Dr How has been a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.
He continues to update his education by attending conferences both locally and overseas. He also enjoys sharing his knowledge and experience; mentoring medical students, student midwives and training hospital registrars.
Dr How has a passion for obstetrics. He is an experienced Obstetrician, dealing with low and high risk pregnancies. And, he is more than able to assist with matters relating to general office and operative gynaecology including Pap smear, colposcopy, menstrual disturbance, pelvic pain, contraceptive and fertility advice.
Dr How practises in the inner city of Melbourne, having consulting rooms in Spotswood (inner west, between Williamstown and Yarraville) and St Vincent’s Private Hospital. He has admitting rights at St Vincent’s Private and Frances Perry House for deliveries, and Western Private Hospital for general gynaecology.
Dr How is known to be a personable, dedicated, conscientious and caring Obstetrician. He strives to provide a thorough and personalised, yet affordable service to young, growing families. He treats each patient with compassion and respect, understanding what an incredibly special time the birth of a baby is in a family’s life. Indeed, he feels privileged to have assisted many young families over the years.
